VICE PRESIDENT GLOBAL TRADE COMPLIANCE
As vice president of global trade compliance, Bob Bowen oversees the global trade compliance program for Avnet, a global technology distributor. Avnet’s global trade compliance program ensures that customers and suppliers remain compliant with the evolving laws and regulations in countries around the world.
Bowen has more than 20 years of legal, regulatory and trade compliance experience in dynamic business environments. His depth of knowledge extends from multi-billion dollar public companies to private law practice to roles with the U.S. Department of Commerce. Before joining Avnet, Bowen held senior trade compliance positions at Western Digital, Hitachi, and Meggitt. In these roles, he oversaw and directed international trade law compliance programs and worked in many jurisdictions in which those companies conduct business operations, including China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, and the European Union.
Mark Curtis made his first appearance on valley airwaves back in June of 1980. Back in those days, Curtis and his mustache went all over the country covering sports for 12 news. He remained at 12 through 1987 when he and his pregnant wife Abby packed their bags for Minneapolis where he covered the Twins amazing run to the 1987 World Series! After three years in the Twin Cities it was on to St. Louis where Curtis not only worked as the main sportscaster but was also the play by play voice for St. Louis University basketball.
But deep inside, Curtis and his quickly growing family wanted to return to Phoenix. In 1995 he finally did, returning to 12 News. It wasn’t long before Mark made the switch, moving over to join Lin Sue on the anchor desk. Since returning to 12, Mark has covered the Olympics in Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Athens, London and Sochi, Russia. Mark who went to the University of Georgia and then American University, has 3 children, all Sun Devils, his wife Abby is a Sun Devil, but his Bouvier Olivia, is not. Mark enjoys golfing, growing tomatoes and fishing in his spare time.
Ms. Lisa Daniels has been Managing Partner of Arizona Practice at KPMG LLP since August 2011. Ms. Daniels is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the Arizona Practice’s local operations. She joined KPMG in 1993 and was made a Partner in 2001. She has worked in the Los Angeles, Orange County, Calif., and Chicago Offices of the KPMG. She has assisted global businesses with identifying and measuring business and technology risks, as well as performing financial and systems audits. She is a Member of the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Ms. Daniels has a Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University.

Jim Lundy is the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Bank of Arizona which was established in 2003 and is now the largest locally headquartered bank in the State, ranking 7th in terms of market share for all banks doing business in Arizona. Mr. Lundy is a 29-year Arizona banking veteran having worked in a variety of commercial banking positions in Phoenix since 1984.
Jim received both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Juris Doctor Degree with Distinction from the University of Arizona. He served as a Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Navy in Charleston, S.C. for three years following law school and then practiced law in Flagstaff from 1977 through the end of 1983, prior to moving to Phoenix to enter the banking industry.
Mr. Lundy currently serves as Chairman of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), Secretary of the Phoenix Civic Improvement Corporation and is a board member and immediate past Chair of the Arizona Bankers Association. He currently serves on the board of the Phoenix Art Museum and is past Chair of the Arizona Chapter of Teach for America.

Rob Schaffer is the General Manager of USAA’s Phoenix Campus, where he is responsible to enhance the business and culture environment so the more than 3800 employees can serve the military community with excellence. Rob is also accountable to strengthen USAA’s brand and reputation in the eyes of our members and community leaders throughout Arizona. With USAA, Rob has delivered for members in roles ranging from strategy, marketing, E-commerce, sales and service operations. Rob understands the military community having served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, and even more proudly is the Marine spouse of Colonel Julie Schaffer, who is currently serving in Kuwait. Prior to USAA, Rob was with CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin where he was Vice President of Customer Operations leading more than 400 individuals serving various lines of business. Rob earned his undergraduate Civil Engineering degree from the University of Illinois and his Masters degree n Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School.

For the past 20 years, Steve Zabilski has served as the executive director of the largest St. Vincent de Paul Council in the country, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization’s 200 employees and thousands of volunteers throughout Central and Northern Arizona.
Steve serves on the Board of Directors of Great Hearts Academies, the Phoenix Community Alliance, and is a Trustee for the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. He has previously been a member of the Catholic Community Foundation Finance and Investment Committee, the Board of Directors of the Human Services Campus, the Ville de Marie Academy Board of Trustees, the FBI Citizens Academy, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2010 Steve was named one of the Most Admired CEO’s by the Phoenix Business Journal.
Prior to joining St. Vincent de Paul, Steve was a senior vice president with Transamerica and an audit manager with KPMG.
